PERSONAL
Motley Crue terbentuk pada tahun 1981 di Los Angeles, california, dengan formasi Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drum), Mick Mars (gitar), dan Vince Neil (vokal). Terkenal sebagai grup band yang liar, di mana para personilnya pernah mengalami kecanduan alkohol dan obat-obatan. Selain itu, mereka juga tercatat sering berurusan dengan pihak berwajib karena tindak kriminal.

Motley Crue telah merilis 18 album sejak 1981, di mana album-album tersebut terjual hingga 40 juta kopi. Album pertama mereka Too Fast for Love (1981), dan album terakhirnya Saint of Los Angeles (2008). Ketika mereka selalu diragukan dan dicap sebagai band rock and roll yang kotor, mereka mengimbanginya dengan kemampuan menulis lagu yang sangat baik.

Kendati terjadi beberapa perubahan dalam tubuh band ini setelah bertahun-tahun, -di mana Vince sempat meninggalkan band pada pertengahan tahun 90an dan digantikan oleh John Corabi (1993-1997), dan Tommy juga menyusul pergi dan digantikan oleh Randy Castilo (1999-2002)- Motley Crue tetap berada di garis depan dalam genre musik mereka.
